Privacy policy

Short version: Clock collects nothing. The app has no internet permission, so it physically cannot send anything off your phone. There are no ads, no analytics, no crash reporters, no accounts and no third-party SDKs.

What stays on your phone

Your alarms, timers, stopwatch laps, world-clock cities, bedtime schedule and settings are stored only in the app's private storage on your device. They are deleted when you uninstall the app. If Android's own device backup is turned on, Android may include these settings in your personal backup, which is controlled by you and Google, not by us.

Songs you choose

If you pick a song from your phone as an alarm sound, Clock asks Android for permission to read only that one file, and only to play it when your alarm rings. The file is never copied, uploaded or shared.

Spotify and other music-app links

You can paste a Spotify, YouTube Music, JioSaavn or Apple Music link as an alarm sound. The link is stored only on your phone. When the alarm rings, Clock asks Android to open that app with your link; Clock itself sends nothing over the internet and has no account with those services. What the music app does after it opens is covered by that app's own privacy policy. Clock only checks whether any music is playing (a yes/no that Android provides) so it can keep its built-in backup tone ringing if nothing plays.

Languages and time zones

Your chosen language and time zones are settings on your phone. Time-zone data comes from Android itself; nothing is downloaded.

Permissions and why

Alarms & reminders / exact alarms: to ring at the exact minute you set.
Notifications and full-screen notifications: to show the ringing alarm over the lock screen and show running timers.
Run at startup: to re-arm your alarms after the phone restarts.
Vibrate, wake lock, foreground service (media playback): to play the alarm sound and vibrate reliably, even in battery-saving mode.
Motion sensor (no permission needed): only used during the "shake to stop" challenge and the optional flip-to-snooze, and never stored.

Children

Clock is suitable for everyone and collects no information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.

सीधी बात: Clock आपकी कोई जानकारी नहीं लेता। ऐप के पास इंटरनेट की अनुमति ही नहीं है, इसलिए यह आपके फ़ोन से कुछ भी बाहर नहीं भेज सकता। कोई विज्ञापन नहीं, कोई ट्रैकिंग नहीं, कोई अकाउंट नहीं।

आपके अलार्म, टाइमर, स्टॉपवॉच, शहर और सेटिंग्स सिर्फ़ आपके फ़ोन में रहते हैं और ऐप हटाने पर मिट जाते हैं। अगर आप अपने फ़ोन का कोई गाना अलार्म के लिए चुनते हैं, तो वह सिर्फ़ अलार्म बजाने के लिए पढ़ा जाता है — कभी कॉपी या अपलोड नहीं होता।

अगर आप अलार्म के लिए Spotify, YouTube Music, JioSaavn या Apple Music का लिंक डालते हैं, तो वह लिंक सिर्फ़ आपके फ़ोन में रहता है। अलार्म बजने पर Clock Android से वह ऐप खुलवाता है; Clock खुद इंटरनेट पर कुछ नहीं भेजता। ऐप खुलने के बाद उसका काम उस ऐप की अपनी प्राइवेसी पॉलिसी के अनुसार होता है।

अनुमतियाँ सिर्फ़ इसलिए हैं ताकि अलार्म ठीक समय पर, लॉक स्क्रीन पर और फ़ोन रीस्टार्ट के बाद भी बजे।
